Stride

“Kambala, founded on the aim to educate the ‘whole girl’, offered since its inception a full and varied curriculum with early studies in sciences and arts. Stride evokes this pioneering history. Its perforated apertures echo scenes of the domestic as much as they do the laboratory. The radiating lines resemble sun rays, whilst the spherical form is distinctly botanical.’

Commission by Kambala Old Girls in celebration of 135 years. The pair of aluminium artworks paying tribute to contributions and achievements of the old girls and understanding the power of art to connect past, current and future girls.

Stride is fabricated from 6mm aluminium with marine grade spun domes and hemispheres. The fully welded and hand finished surfaces illuminated with internal LED lighting.
